When I got my first DSLR camera my senior year of high school, one of the first photography styles I used it for was “fashion” photography. My friend Sarah put on a dress, and we ran around town taking pictures. Eventually I had other friends who wanted to model too, and we started getting more creative with outfits and makeup and set themes. During college we did 3-4 of these shoots a year while all home from school.

Over a decade later, our skills have grown, and I’ve added even more willing friends to my model list! Today I’m featuring my friend Amber, who always comes up with kickass Halloween costumes and is amazing at makeup effects! She can do anything!!

This is (hopefully) the beginning of my planned series of Horror Disney Princesses. In our version of this story, poor Snow White has bitten the poisoned apple, but rather than falling into a sweet sleep and being awoken by her prince, the poison has instead disfigured her with boils and left her all alone in the woods with no savior.

Sometimes there is no happy ending.
